My GSXR trike, I miss it occasionally, it was a lot of fun as a Streetfighter before I ruined a perfectly good motorcycle by adding a third wheel.

Don't get me wrong, I like trikes, a lot but GSXR's are not really suitable for adding a back end. Too tall, I believe more than ever purpose built trikes are always going to be better than a back end bolted on a production bike.

I sold it to a chap in Wales. I heard last year it had been written off in an accident.

I've been doing a bit since we collected the FZ from a mates house. We've stripped the donor down and cleaned most of the stuff we intend to use for the RT. FZ 750 out of the frame and cleaned The carbs before cleaning, seized solid and mucky. Cleaned and working, the screws holding the assembly together all need replacing before they go back on the engine. Ford Cortina front upright and hub. 4 stud alloys going on the front. The next step is to decide which rear wheel and tyre combination we are going to use on the rear and get the steel ordered for the swing arm we are making to suit the job. It's going to be a slow build but it'll be done right in the end.

Austerity and Charity If you live in the United Kingdom in 2013 you will just be starting to understand ‘Austerity’. It’s a scary word because what Austerity means is that the politicians have run out of ideas. Well what I mean is, they’ve run out of sensible ideas. I mean they’ll spend 84 billion on Trident when it’s pretty clear we no longer have the means to maintain the submarines that are supposed to deliver it and we don’t really want to start a nuclear war. They’ll spend hundreds of millions on failed IT system after failed IT system to ‘root out’ fraudsters when it runs at 0.3% of all claims but they can’t do something as simple as lower VAT. They’ll pour hundreds of billions of quantitative easing into the pension funds and banks who will promptly pay bonuses and dividends with their tax funded windfall but they won’t give working households a tax rebate that they’d spend.
